The Alabama Veterinary Medical Foundation (ALVMF) has received approval from the Alabama Legislature to offer a Spay-Neuter license plate to state residents. The efforts to have this accomplished have been in-depth, but thanks to the persistence of the association and foundation leadership, it has finally come to fruition. (To Read More)

If you have not received all of your needed CE credits for the year, here’s one more chance offered to you by the Alabama VMA.

November 4 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. is the date set for the ALVMA Winter CE program. It will be held at the Beard Building in Montgomery, which is home of the Alabama Department of Agriculture and Industries at 1445 Federal Drive.

ALVMA President Russell Encourages Communication



As your representative I was able to attend the AVMA convention in
Washington.  In one of our “free times” we toured the Pentagon.  Leaving the building the old slogan “Loose Lips Sink a Ship” was on a kiosk by the exits…the importance of proper communication.  In a recent publication of The Alabama Board of Veterinary Examiners it is stated the #1 cause of problems being presented before this group is miscommunication.  In fact these communication issues represent over 90% of all complaints with veterinarians.
