The 100th Annual Convention of the Alabama VMA hosted a record number
of attendees according to association officials.  More than 350 veterinarians and technicians along with many family members converged on the Perdido Beach Resort in Orange Beach, Alabama from June 28th thru July 1 to take advantage of CE credits and enjoy an awesome 100 year celebration.

Russell Takes Helm of ALVMA

Dr. C. Mark Russell of Huntsville assumed the presidency of the Alabama Veterinary Medical Association during ceremonies held June 30th at the Association’s 100th Annual convention. During his acceptance speech Dr. Russell said “We cannot ignore the challenges ahead."

McCurdy Honored as Veterinarian of the Year

Dr. Lewis McCurdy of Huntsville, Alabama was recognized as Veterinarian
of the year during the Alabama VMA’s Annual Convention on June 30, 2007. 
Dr. McCurdy is past president of the ALVMA and has been instrumental in organizing the ALVMA Foundation as well as serving as Foundation president
for the last two years. He has been very active in representing veterinary interests as liaison to the Huntsville Humane Association and serving in numerous officer roles for the Madison County Veterinary Medical Association. (To Read More)
